How to Create normal, position and Z-depth pass in Fusion?

PostWed Oct 26, 2016 4:42 pm

Hello There,
Is there any good article or tutorial, which explains, how i can create a normal, position and Z-depth pass in Fusion?

When i look at my Renderer3D in the viewer i can see these channels, as soon as i select the Z, Normal and Worldcoord channels in the dropdown box in the Output Channels in the renderer3D.

So i guess My 3d model has this information included, cause i see the passes in the viewer. When i change from Color to for example the normal channels.

What i would like to know is, how i can create a pass out of this ((normal, position or Z-depth pass)

I think i need the channel Boolean tool for it? but i don't know how to set the Color channels and the Aux Channels.

I hope somebody can help me out with this one.

thanx in front

In the Bol, just set the RGB to be the channels you want copied.

Bear in mind that the normals from the 3Rn are the geometric normals interpolated across the faces. It does not include any normal maps. For that you would need to create a specific shader.

Thanx Chad for your reply.
What should i do to the alpha channel?

And do i create this shader with the shader node in Fusion?

Can someone take it one step further back in the process for me? I want to be able to add 3d to my 2d image as spoken about but I am confused as to how to properly execute a position and z pass. Thanks in advance.
