Audio in Fusion?

PostThu Aug 25, 2016 4:10 pm

Can someone explain to me how audio works in Fusion? The product comparison page for fusion says you can both see audio waveforms and scrub audio in the timeline, but when I add a loader for a video clip that has an audio track, I neither hear audio or see any waveforms. I did right-click on the Audio button and selected the audio from the loader, but that didn't make any difference.

Thanks!

Fusion is 'old school' when it comes to audio... really just a scratch track. I haven't been able to get audio out of Quicktimes, so the guaranteed way to make it work is to extract the audio from your QT as a .WAV file and then add that to your "comp" by selecting the AUDIO tab in your SAVER node. If you'd like to 'see' the waveform, make sure you're viewing the SAVER node in the TIMELINE tab of your displays (ie. Flow/Console/Timeline/Spline). This should give you sound, but if it doesn't do the 'right-click' on the Audio icon and make sure the .WAV is selected.

Hi, I'm new to Fusion. Can I use the Audiolevel to drive other parameters? How would be the workflow?
