Question about using the Slate function on the iPhone app

Hi all,

I'm using an iPhone with the BM app as a wide camera for a three-camera interview system. I'd like to sync the cameras by rolling the other cameras first and then rolling the iPhone and getting the flash as the sync point. When I roll the iPhone I see a flash and of course, the other cameras see it too but it doesn't seem to be recorded by the phone. what am I missing?

Second question, is there a manual or documentation for the ap so I can figure these things out myself:-)

The Blackmagic Camera app is a work in progress. This may explain why there isn't a detailed user guide. As far as I know, this is about it when it comes to documentation: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/produc ... agiccamera

If you use a Blackmagic camera, you'll find that there's a good deal of overlap between Blackmagic camera firmware and the Blackmagic iPhone app.

There are three threads on the forum on matters relating to how the app works:

The moderators tend to move new threads about the app to one of those three threads.
