Cut Page and Speed Editor, Looking for Intro

PostWed May 01, 2024 7:16 pm

I'm looking for a good guide/introduction to the Cut Page preferable also the Speed Editor.

All guides/introductions seems to focus on the Edit Page while leaving the Cut Page as something of a haunted house. People are even joking about it on YouTube.

John

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

That!
And then there's the training material by BM for version 17, where it was covered. For whatever reason it's missing in the version on 18.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

The first day of Black Magic's training class Beginner's Guide to DaVinci Resolve was about the Cut Page.

All the Black Magic classes I have taken have been uniformly excellent. The sessions are not recorded however, so you will have to catch them as they become available.

Chris Roberts, who is a trainer for BMD, has some Cut Page vids on his Youtube channel.

I saw that Thom Lyons posted that on Reddit yesterday (after I posted this). Well, he posted it about a month ago, but I just saw it yesterday. I signed up for all 5 of the certification classes. It's absolutely fantastic the way BMD offers so much training, and for FREE!!!
