BMPCC6K Wouldn't Turn On Or Off Again (No Reply Last Time)

Well here we are another 3 or 4 weeks later. Had the rig ready to go with lights on and went to flip the switch. Nothing. The motor/fan noise was still running in the off power position and flipping on wouldn't bring up the screen. This time, removing/reseating the battery didn't work either. Last time, flipping the switch on/off with the battery out remedied it. This time, it did not. Dismounted from the tripod and connected to the computer with BlackMagic Camera Setup & a USB-C cable. Nothing on-camera and Camera Setup didn't recognize any device or software, but the battery was still out, so put the battery back in again (now connected to BlackMagic Camera Setup). The screen came up on-camera and Camera Setup showed I was up to date (but not really, as it's still Camera Software 7.9.1).

While I was still under warranty, the same thing happened with my 6K Pro, but only once, and reseating the battery immediately rectified the entire issue. At the time (a couple years ago), I called BM support, they said they'd not heard of any issues like that, and hoped it would never happen again.

Now on the 6K (not Pro) it's happened twice in the past month with some other glitchiness maybe 6 months ago or so as I recall.

While this doesn't do much to make me feel better and there may be an argument to be made for looking into looking at alternatives to BMD, I'm thinking getting rid of the 6K and picking up one of the new 6KG2 bodies, pretty much directly because of this. But of course that seems ridiculous to do if it's a software issue. And if it's a hardware issue with two BMD cameras, well then I think I really would jump off the BlackMagic train. But we're not there yet.

The fact it's happened 3 (or 4) times on 2 different BM Pocket Cinema cameras over the past 2 years or so though really makes me wonder if there's a software bug at play.

Can I reinstall the software? Should I?
