This may come off harsh but I don't think anyone would be interested in sending a random person his property. There is tons of camera vendor sample footage out there in the world though if you feel like getting your hands dirty.
Secondly not many would be interested in the work of someone that isn't showing any work on real projects. A showreel with just a bunch of random non client related stuff isn't ideal. And using sample footage is as bad as putting the work of a tutorial you followed in a showreel, so I would only use those to train or develop looks.
The only thing I would recommend is to find projects you can take part in at a beginner level. Maybe you know some people, student projects, 48h projects anything that can get you working on something tangible where you personally can take credit for as colorist that will actually be published in some form.
Even personal projects can work provided they're actual finished products. Things like a montage of nice places you've visited on holiday shot in a nice way.
People (clients) don't care much about how you can make one frame look, they care about achieving a look that fits the purpose/product in question, which is a hard sell if the reel is a collection of 'random' shots.
