Bug report: First few seconds of audio won't play

If you embed a timeline at the very beginning of your main timeline, the first few seconds of audio won't play after you first load the project.

The only workaround seems to be to go into the embedded timeline, play the audio manually, then go back out to your main timeline and hit play again. Then it works.

This is super annoying because I'll often exit and restart Resolve right before I do a 4K render so it has a fresh start and has less chance of crashing.

Then of course I forget to do the workaround and after waiting 1/2hr to render, I have to start all over again because the first few seconds of audio are missing

Very strange one. System/version/etc. should all be in my sig.

The quick 'resolution' seems to be to move the audio to a new track.

This issue is very annoying and is still there release after release. 17/18/19 (DR Studio on Mac M1)

It makes my work on interviews a nightmare and I'm considering to switch to another NLE despite Resolve is the best on a lot of points.

Is someone is listening at Blackmagic and can fix that ?

Until things improve, Pascal, don't nest your timelines.

I don't use this in my WF (TLs in TL) but I'm interested in knowing if this happens too if you make a huge compound clip of the TL you want to insert...

Compounds also have issues, so it could.

I'm having this happen in 19.1.4 on a plain old WAV file on the timeline. The first second or so refuses to play. I had some effects on the track, but it happens with them turned off. It's almost like it cached the file wrong, but I have no caching turned on. Clearing the cache does not fix the problem. Moving the audio to a different track fixes the issue, but I would have to do all the track level effects again if I move it to a different track.
