Viewing Personal content?

I just saw this video about Adobe viewing their users private content without permission

Now with cloud storage and live will Blackmagic be doing the same?

The guy goes a bit over the top. Understandable though, because of the absurd verbiage patterns of Adobe lawyers. Over and over.

As, where they could check your data is when you use their servers for some of the advanced machine learning things. And as it's on their servers, at that point, they have some legal liability to be concerned about.

They do not have authority within this, or actually the capabilities, to scan through your computer and study your files. They can get rough usage data at times, like say, use of specific effects. Which is used to prioritize engineering schedules.

But oh my, do their lawyers write intelligently stupid stuff. So they ask for any abuse they get over this crap.

A recent post on the Adobe pro editor Facebook page:

Adobe has listened and is working on updating the TOS.
Here are the bullet points:

You own your content.

We don’t train generative AI on customer content.

You have a choice to not participate in our product improvement program.

The licenses we require to operate and improve our products on your behalf should be narrowly tailored to the activities needed.

Adobe does not scan content stored locally on your computer in any way.
