Hey all,
So I have a question concerning Gyro Stabilization on a 6K FF camera. I received my camera a couple of days ago and wanted to eagerly test out the Gyro. All of my attempts failed even though I had my shutter set to 75 degrees, checked the focal length of lens (Sigma 24-70mm) which was displayed correctly and performed a motion sensor calibration.
Every single time I tried to stabilize with Camera Gyro in Resolve my footage became even more wobbly than the original. The normal 'Perspective' mode stabilized it 5x better. I tried different resolutions, shutter angles, lenses... absolutely no difference. I even tried the same in GyroFlow but to no avail.
I then went back to the store to show the employee and he said it might be some sensor issue. So they're sending the camera back to BM and gave me another one to use in the meantime. I tried the Gyro with the new camera and the exact same thing happens... am I doing something wrong? How can perspective stabilization actually stabilize and Gyro make the footage even more wobbly than the original?
BMCC 6K fw: 8.3.1
Sigma 24-70 f2.8 L-mount
6K DCI 50 fps
75 shutter angle
If anyone has an idea what the issue might be or what I am doing wrong please let me know. Getting pretty desperate here
All the best
