Hello,
I spoke with support about this issue and was directed to the forms as hopefully someone with an understanding of the issue I'm running into would be able to help fix this.
I have multiple Decklink 8k Pros, a Quad 2, and Ultrastudio HD Minis that are unable to adjust Reference input offset. Moving the slider seems to do nothing.
Additionally it seems like the Ref Input is slightly broken or just poorly documented. If I run my video system in 1080p59.94 with the correct reference of 1080i59.94, the Ref Input icon in the ui correctly shows the Ref format as interlaced 59.94, but does not ever lock to the ref input. However, if I keep my video system in progressive 59.94 but change my reference generator to old fashioned NTSC Black burst, it does lock. Likewise if I keep my video system the same but change the reference generator to 720p59.94 it does lock. I'm wondering if there's an undocumented shortcoming of the reference implementation on all Blackmagic cards where reference format must match between progressive or interlaced (Which is incorrect, our AJA and ROSS devices function with both settings, P or I and interchanging them) or if this is just a simple software bug. From the issue I've run into with the offset my gut says bug, but please let me know either way.
For now we will run the video system in 1080p59.94 and the reference system in 720p59.94 as that seems to work for the time being.
