Atem Extreme SDI ISO: delayed CUTs in Da vinci Timeline

PostFri Jul 26, 2024 11:06 am

Hi there, using the Atem SDI Extreme ISO in 1080 50p with multiple cameras all on 50p. Live Production was all perfect. But as the Master Record ISO is quality low I want now to import the ISO Project and export the Record on Davinci in good Quality. But i noticed that the cuts on the Timeline do not Match to the actual Cuts in the LIVE Production. As later you go on the Timeline as more delayed they are. Over a Second after 50 Minutes of Recording. Has anyone same issues?

Are you trying to use in-camera recordings for a higher quality version ? If so - what was your timecode reference for the cameras and the Atem to ensure they were in-sync. If you don't have one you may need to manually re-sync your camera rushes to match the Atem recording (did you do a clapper/clap after you started recording)?

Thank you for your reply, but no, I would use the drp, the da vinci timeline, recorded by the Atem Iso. In order to do not have to recut all the material. But there the cuts are not recorded as I did them live. So i Would have to recut everything. And with about 15 Musicacts thats a lot.

Hi, thanks for your reply,
I'm not using the in recorded files. I'm using the ISO files with the drp project created during the Live Production. In this Timeline the cuts are delayed as far the recording goes more and more. I checked even the Log File and compared the cuts with the Master recording. They are not the same. This must be a Hardware Problem...

Experienced the same yesterday, on a 2 hour perfect recording on an SDI Extreme ISO. Timeline clips are okay at start, but clips are delayed 2 sec in the end, compared to the correct program file! Latest sw on everything, all cams in 1080p/50fps. (This time I had an iPad connected for videoplayback on input 8, I normally don't use that, and I have never had this problem before. Can the connected usb-c ipad be the problem....) Thankful if anyone have a solution.
