Like dual recording, file of odd frame know that even frame are in file xxx.
All these infos will be decoded by braw sdk, enabled on resolve directly, plugin for premiere, avid, Finalcut, braw player…
Video files should be read from video/NLE software, not from Os, is a bad attitude, especially with structured files like avchd and similar.
Especially today where Os no more allow you to install additional codecs (win and Mac) but with except of h264 and few other you cannot read video file directly in Os.
