Pro AV / Streaming project with PTZ cameras - new to BMD

PostFri Aug 02, 2024 7:19 pm

Hello to everyone !

I'm in the Pro AV industry since 12 years and I'm currently on a big project with a new customer where I need some help to find the right products because broadcast is new to me.

The customer needs :

- video capture in multiple rooms
- audio capture in multiple rooms
- ability to stream on YouTube
- record everything from the cameras for later use

How to :

- we will use 2 Aver TR535N (dual lens) cameras in each room to capture a wide angle and have the ability to track or use PTZ with the second lens
- we will use ceiling microphones to capture the audio and process this with a Bose DSP to have a nice output
- we will use Extron control in the different rooms to control lights, audio and the cameras with a touch screen
- full control room equiped with a mix of Pro AV and Broadcast equipment

Where I need some help is to find the right products and if possible I want to go with BlackMagic for everything from switchers to storage.

Products I chose :

- WebView 16 as a multiviewer on 3x 50'' screens
- 2 x Web Presenter 4K to stream on YouTube and another platform simultaneously
- ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K for lives
- ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel 20 for controlling the ATEM Constellation 4K
- Videohub 40x40 12G to route the different inputs to different outputs
- multiple Cloud Dock 4 for storage

In total we will have about 12 dual lens cameras, this means we got 24 4K streams, this is why the big Constellation 4K and the 40x40 Videohub.

Where I need some help is to find out what the different functions of the different products are. Maybe I'm going to far and don't need too much equipment.

Cameras will be controlled by a camera controler from Aver.

I'm also open to have someone in backup on this project.

I'm looking forward to discuss this project and open for everything to know !

Kindest regards from Europe,

Phillippe

ATEM 4ME have 24 outputs .. For what do you need videohub .. U have 24 video sources .. ATEM have 40 INPUTS .. I think u do not need videohub ..
For me , webpresenter is not good device for serious streaming .. Sometime works, sometime no ..
U not talked about recording .. How many streams U want to record ?

Thank you for your response.

I wasn't sure about the videohub but if I can do routing and switching with the ATEM then I won't need the videohub.

I heard about potential problems with the Web Presenter, I could use something else. Do you have a product in mind ?

For recording it would depend on the events, maybe recording 6 streams would be nice.

I don't know if using the Cloud Dock can do the job or if I use a Cloud Store with a NAS ? Or Google Drive ?

Videohub would allow me to route signals between devices and have some clean outputs when needed without going through ATEM.

Do you have another streaming device in mind ?

For recording I do not know exactly what kind of device to use. I had in mind to use a NAS for storing files but seems to be a bit complicated with Blackmagic products ?
