Panel 20: Shift Keys illuminate M/E 2 Button

I have a ATEM 1 M/E panel 20 paired with a Constellation 2 switcher. Whenever I press either of the SHIFT buttons, the M/E 2 selection light comes on. Is this normal, an undocumented feature or a glitch?
The numeric keypad RESET light illuminates as well.
