HD8 ISO - "Internal" Storage

PostTue Aug 06, 2024 8:39 pm

Hello!

I have a ATEM Television Studio HD8 ISO. I've been testing a few things with the recording, and am a bit of a loss for one of the storage destinations.

The ATEM is connected via USB-C to a laptop with SSD storage, as well as an external SSD drive.

In the Record tab of the Outputs panel of the software control, I can see two destinations. One is the SSD drive and the other is labeled "Internal."

My gut says "Internal" is the SSD in the laptop (I don't have any storage media installed in the ATEM) but I'm not seeing anything on the laptop that looks like that storage.

Can anyone who has been in a similar situation shed any light on what's happening here.

Thank you!

From the website:
ATEM Television Studio supports recording to external USB flash disks! Or if an optional M.2 flash disk is installed, you can record directly to internal network shared storage!

So internal is internal to the switcher if you have the optional M.2 installed.

Thanks Sander. That makes sense, but I didn't install any storage. Time to get this unit on a network and see what's up.

It's pre installed.
