This is a long response to everyone on this board, I hope this helps people out there with the same issue. I was not able to find answers anywhere on any Forum about this issue.
I was on a call with their support team yesterday. To reset the Constellation HD to a clean firmware, ready for update, you need to turn the ATEM off, disconnect the ethernet cable in the back, and then press and hold the "lock" button on the front while you power it on, once the lock button starts blinking red, then you can let go of it. After that, it should be reset for update. Then you can connect your computer using the USB C cable, not ethernet, and update the firmware. That is the right way of updating it, not through the network. I did a proper update, as guided by them.
Then I followed several network instructions as I was on the phone with them.
However, after I did all of that, I was still not able to reconnect any of our computers to the Constellation 4 M/E HD. Not even by going directly through the ethernet cable. Their customer service and I tried everything in the list. Going directly through ethernet cable from my computer to the ATEM with the same Gateway, Subnet, IP (but different number on the last octet), nothing. Same procedure but through a network switch, and nothing.
Something is definitely wrong with the switcher firmware update. My last resort is to go back to the previous update of the ATEM firmware, which would be 9.0.1 for the Constellation 4 M/E HD. By the way, I downgraded my ATEM software version to 9.5.1 and same issue, then 9.5, same issue, then 9.3.3, and same issue. Even though the ATEM software version I am running now on my computer is 9.3.3, the most recent Constellation HD firmware version is 9.2.1 so that is what I have been having issues with. So again, my last resort is to go back to 9.0.1 ATEM software version which will prompt me to update the Constellation HD firmware version back to 9.0.1, which is the second most recent version of the Constellation HD switchers.
Last thing, this is a side note. While on the newer ATEM software versions 9.3.3, 9.5, 9.6, etc... I noticed that on the general tab of the settings page, at the very bottom, there is an option called "Network Discovery". It is by default toggled off and greyed out. So there is no way to toggle it on. There is NO info whatsoever on the manuals about this, even though the manual has a picture of it in it, lol. They just decided to like not talk about this new feature on the setting menu and completely skip it. Anyway, I thought that was the issue. But their costumer support said to me "I checked with one of our broadcast specialists regarding the Network Discovery option in the General settings, and they've advised this function is for network recording on supported switchers. It will not have a function on the ATEM 4 M/E Constellation HD."
I just wanted to add that side note for those looking for answers like I have for the last 4 days.
