Updated Camera now PEAKING/FOCUS ASSIST is gone?

PostSun Sep 15, 2024 4:23 pm

I have the original URSA 12K and I have a shoot tomorrow. I updated the camera to the latest firmware and now peaking doesn't seem to be working. I always set it to RED and I am not seeing red on the in focus area. I have it turned on for sure in the menu (for the LCD screen and for the SDI out) and I've clicked the PEAK button on the camera. Not sure what's going on?

I never upgrade the firmware days before a paid shoot, especially a day or two before it. I have 2 simple rules when it comes to firmware updates. 1) only upgrade when the firmware is GA already and 2) only upgrade when the camera is not in used or won’t be in used for the next several weeks. Is there any reason to upgrade or functionality required by the project that you need to upgrade to that can’t be handled by the current firmware? Always ask that question.

Per default peaking is set to detail sharpening and not to colored lines.
Make sure you have set it to colored lines.
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.

That was it. Thank you! It’s been so long that I had to change that setting that I forgot what to do.
