Android Bug - ISO does not update when pressing screen

PostSun Sep 22, 2024 6:26 am

Blackmagic Android - 1.3.0045
Android 14
Samsung S24+
One UI version 6.1

Issue:
When using the Blackmagic Android version, pressing on the screen will trigger focus and auto ISO adjustment. The ISO that is switched to is not reflected at the top of the screen nor in the meta data.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the Blackmagic app
2. Make sure you are in camera mode
3. Press in the middle of the screen

Actual Behavior: The screen gets darker or lighter according to the current lighting conditions but the ISO number does not change
Expected Behavior: The screen gets darker or lighter according to the current lighting conditions updating the ISO to the current value it has been set to.

I have uploaded a video demonstrating the issue:

NOTE: I had a friend test this on their Apple phone, and the ISO automatically updated as expected. I tested this on a different Samsung phone and also reproduced the above behavior of the ISO value not getting updated.

Has anyone run into this issue before and has a solution? Is this a bug specific to Samsung? Please advise. If any other information is required please let me know. Thanks!
