Blackmagic App for Android w/External Mic

Hello, when I plug in my Rode USB mic into my Android phone, recording audio works perfectly, but I'm unable to hear playback unless I unplug my USB mic after each take. Is this normal, simply because I have a USB device plugged into my phone? Or do I need to setup some sort of Bluetooth device to hear the output without unplugging the mic each time?

My Rode VideoMic NTG provides a 1/8 inch headphone output, I don't know if you have a way to select or unselect the USB sound Output.
