BMPCC 6K won't stop recording

Hi everyone,

I have an issue with the BMPCC 6K which is causing some frustration. The camera will frequently get stuck on recording and the only way to reset is to turn off the camera, which means the file is lost.

When I say "won't stop", I mean that the camera will get stuck on recording (the recording time will stay red and the clock will either keep running or stop) and won't react to the record/stop record button anymore.

I am recording to a Samsung T5 1TB SSD card. I'm using the Tilta cage and the cable that came with the Tilta Tactical Kit. The issue has happened both when recording in 6K (8:1) as in 4K Braw.

Has anyone had the same issue? And if so, what was the solution?

I'm thinking it could be the cable and/or connections or an issue with the record button itself, but in that last case I think it should happen all the time, which it doesn't.

Both physical and on-screen buttons don't work in this instance?

On this instance, it works, but It happens out of no where. When it does, physical buttons work but on screen buttons don't.

This happens to me alot when i use the Samsung T7 while filming Prores (not BRAW).

It happened to me once with the T5, so i changed the cable and haven't had the issue anymore. It could have been the cable at the time or the fact that i was connected to a video transmitter and BM video assist plus a 21" directors monitor.

Changed the cable and it works ! Thank you !
