Hello,
I'd like to open a thread to share our thought and features that we would love to have added to the already great Blackmagic UI.
As for now, I only got a Pyxis .
Right now, it would be simple :
A/ Move all Streaming menus to a dedicated page (that would need to ad another tab on the top of the UI), It would free up the very busy "setup menu"
B/ A dedicated page in the setup menu to toggle what the lock button do and don't:
On the side panel I would love to have the ability to :
Have a 6x6 grid with "quick access" to toggle 3 presets of white balance, 3 presets of ISO.
And possibly a bigger audio level indicator.
Kind like a quick display menu from a sony FX6 and a side pannel from a Sony Venice.
With that should come the ability with the lock button to lock the touch screen but not the hard
buttons on the camera.
C/ GYRO Data : A menu where you can store your lenses profiles and quickly loads them.
On that topic, after some test (I need to do further more) it seemed to me that when shooting in anamorphic, putting the spherical lens focal lenght equivalent to the horizontal field of view of the anamorphic lens seemed to help a bit.
Am I fooled, or is there any recommandation regarding anamorphic shooting and gyro data ?
As mentioned on another post, when recording a shot that got sliced on two cards because first card was full, you cannot use the gyrodata with the same setting on the two files. You will get a "jump" where the media was cut as Davinci is not interpreting the two files as a single take.
And congratulation to the BM Team for the launch of this two new cameras.
