It sounds ridiculous, but just turn off Bluetooth.
I've been dealing with the same issue for weeks to the point where I could barely work, and I think I’ve found the solution. Like many others, I’ve tried absolutely everything: reinstalling the software, updating Windows drivers, and even DaVinci Resolve itself, along with every little tweak I could find online.
This morning, everything seemed to be working fine until, to my frustration, it suddenly stopped. I realized it happened right after I unplugged a USB keyboard from my PC. I spent the entire day trying to replicate the issue, but nothing worked—until I remembered reading a development forum discussing issues between DaVinci Resolve, Bluetooth, and Windows' power management.
As many of you might have experienced, the problem wasn’t just laggy playback; the entire interface was sluggish. That made me think: maybe Resolve was trying to connect to something in the background. So, I turned off Bluetooth, and immediately everything started working smoothly again. When I turn Bluetooth back on, the issues return.
It’s a strange fix, but it works. I hope this helps someone else!
