Resolve 19.1 - No popup taskbar unless minimized

Updated from 19.0.3 Studio to 19.1 and as before it starts up full screen when I open a project. However unlike the previous version I can no longer access Windows popup taskbar. Odd? That's possibly a first for me with all my programs. So I minimize Resolve and carefully stretch it to fit my desktop and now have access to the taskbar when needed. However this is disruptive and repetitive work plus I am left with a distracting pale blue border around the edge of the minimized screen. I found Workspace > Full Screen Window so toggled this on and off but it just maximizes the window, again no taskbar.

I re-installed but it's the same. Can't work like this, constantly need the taskbar.

If you right click on the Windows Task Bar and choose settings you can make sure it is always visible. In Resolve's Workspace menu make sure that Full Screen Window is not checked.
I use the opposite. I have Full Screen Window checked and the Windows Task Bar set to Auto Hide at the bottom of the screen. It appears when I move the curser there.

Hi Charles thanks for the reply but I always have my task bar set to auto hide, wouldn't want it ever needlessly taking up desk space, but that's one thing... the actual issue here is as I said in my post, with Full Screen Window in Workspace NOT checked the task bar does NOT appear when I move the cursor there. That's when I have to either ALT TAB to another program if one is running or minimize and start over. Since yours is working I don't know what I can do other than revert to 19.0.3

I am also experiencing this exact problem. I switched from 18.6 to 19.1.
My initial thoughts were that 19 came out under W11 not W10 . Not so on my machine the hidden taskbar is not accessible with 19.1 running under W10 or W11
Charles. makes no difference whether full screen window is checked or not.

Pressing Ctrl+Esc will reveal the taskbar and start menu.

Thanks, now I know it's not just me I re-installed 19.0.3. Have been using the taskbar so long.. Windows XP, 95, 98, 2000, XP, 7, 8 etc. Forgotten if Win3.1 and 3.11 had a one, that's too long ago!

The only other option I have found is to set a ninimized resolve window a pixel or to short of max. OK this is a 2 click job but probably better than Crtl+Esc.

When I tested 19 under under W11 the initial system disc was a clone of W10 upgraded to W11. Not a clean install of W11. Have since created a clean W11 install and added 19.1. The problem still exists.

I imaged my W11 disc, removed 19.1 and dropped in 18.6 and restored a test project. 18.6 maxed allows access to the taskbar were ever it is located.

Clearly Claire & I are a minority. Cannot see anything common in pc specs

Currently having a new editing machine built. Have requested a check be made relating to this issue. I am expecting an OK.

Also need to check whether this post appears under todays date. Previous post did not.

Edit: My builder has confirmed that the taskbar is inaccessible with the Taskbar hidden and resolve maximised under W11. Maybe most resolve users do not hide the taskbar. There are W11 addons that allow the taskbar to be positioned at the top but I suspect a hidden taskbar will still not be found.
This is really a problem/bug in Resolve.

I'm not having my problem but I also use Explorer Patcher. It might be a standard Windows 11 thing.

Auto hide has always been inconsistent on Windows 11.

Seems fixed in 19.1.1
