Genlock & Arduino Shield

PostFri Jun 02, 2017 5:07 pm

Hi,

I'd like to control a set of Micro Studio Cameras via an arduino shield, and need to send genlock signals too. Can genlock be controlled via the arduino shield? If not, will a genlock signal fed into the arduino shield be faithfully forwarded to the output SDI? I imagine it's also possible to feed genlock into the DB15, but would be nicer to do it over the SDI if possible.

Thanks,
Allan

The Micro Studio Cameras can be set to lock to program or input video as a reference. Feed the Shield for Arduino with an SDI that is locked to your reference and all the cameras will be locked. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply!

So if i have a reference generator (Muteec 3.2HD in my case) i will need to feed it to a camera (or other) which outputs an SDI which goes to the SDI In of the arduino shield, right? Not possible to feed the ref directly to the Arduino as i understand.

Thanks

The Shield only accepts an SDI input. So feed it a locked SDI signal.
