Either doesn't work for me. I think the issue is it has no enough power (particularly current) to provide to the camera. At the same time while directly connected to 18v Makita skrewdriver battery everything works perfect.
usually bmd cam support from 11 to 20v, but also in the bmcc6k manual they told about 12v power.
may be this adapter not give real 12v out?
i use the tilta version and work fine with pocket4k, 6k which should need same power from manuals.

It's not a voltage issue, but rather a power issue. Power adapters have fewer limitations than battery ones. I use 18V batteries from a screwdriver and connect them directly. When fully charged, they give about 20V, which is in line with the BMD recommendations. The converter the topic starter is talking about is not powerful enough to power the camera.
There is always the option of using specialized batteries for the camera. Functionally, they are the same. The difference is in the appearance and price of the solution. Specialized batteries are 3-4 times more expensive.[/quote]Could you elaborate a bit what do you mean about difference between power and voltage?
I use both, Gmount battery and nfp with adapter and not had problems, but I would like to understand better that concept.
