Problems with E mount lens

PostThu Dec 05, 2024 9:31 pm

Good evening all!
Please help!
I have 5 cameras (URSA broadcast G2) with EF mount.
I want to use SONY lenses (E Mount) on my cameras.
What do I need to buy for this.
Thank you very much for your answer!

You can adapt a lens with a longer flange focal distance than the flange focal distance of the camera mount. So a PL-mount lens (FFD 52mm) can be adapted to the camera EF-mount (FFD 44mm). But the Sony E-mount lens has FFD 18mm, so no-go. Sony wants you to buy their camera to use their lenses.

But you can use other lenses on Sony cameras, lots of choices.
BTW, it's not a problem with the lenses, it's a matter of physics.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.
