I enjoyed seeing the great reviews. Does anyone have more experience with the lenses now that some time has passed? Flo's great review seemed to show some CA and one commenter thought it was too much. Any thoughts on CA?

I, like @rick.lang, own the SLR Magic APO hyperprime which are supposed to have low CA. Wonder if I could round out my set of Hyperprimes (25,32,50,85) with some focal lengths that I don't have already, using Arles?

Anyone know how well the Arles intercuts with the Catta Ace zooms?

Even the best Apo lenses will only correct for three wavelengths, or try to. Anyways, I have and have been using the Arles 35mm and 180mm and will likely get some others. CA is a major concern for me in selecting a lens. In these the CA is not only very little but is more yellow/blue rather than purple/green which makes it even less noticeable.

The way the focus falls off and the quality of the out of focus areas is a major quality of these lenses. And no breathing... or very little to matter. I like these Arles as much as my Zeiss Otus 28mm... sometimes even better as that Otus does breathe a lot. And, I am considering replacing my FF Sigma 20mm T1.5 which costs twice as much.

Another point as to CA is that it's appearance can be provoked with certain circumstances, for example high contrast edges near the edge of the field of view. Keep in mind too that I am using these lenses with the URSA 12K which is normally super35 size sensor and the lenses cover Vista Vision... so with that even less chance of finding CA. Maybe someone with the full frame 12K cine can try the Arles and comment.

I’m surrounded by oak trees that have lost their leaves at this time of year (December). The sky is often a very bright overcast grey. Pointing the camera to those crooked branches so the entire frame includes that stark contrast is an easy and effective test of chromatic aberration.
