Webcam MFT lenses ?

PostFri Dec 13, 2024 5:09 pm

Hi,

there a lot of micro studio camera G1 classified ads. Some even with speedbooster.

The idea crossed my mind to make a webcam with direct SDI output.

What lens would be suitable?

I would think for a webcam that you'd want continuous autofocus, unless you're sure you won't be moving much or you have enough light so you can stop down to maximize depth of field. Since continuous autofocus isn't available on this or any other BMD camera I'm not sure it's the right tool for the job.

I will avoid dancing in front of the camera  seriously you pointed out an essential function on the lens (focus).
the choice is not the best but the least worst : a webcam with hdmi and a converter (no adjustments possible) from mixer or a bmd camera with adapted lens :?:
