BPCC4K auto focus area selection

PostSun Dec 15, 2024 10:46 am

Hi,

on page 23 the manual says: "You can select an alternate auto focus point by tapping on the LCD screen in the area that you want to focus."

Does that mean the rectangle is supposed to jump to the area that I tapped on?

My rectangle always stays in the center, no matter where I tap on.

The auto focus mechanism works; I hear it and see it gets sharper. But I assume my auto focus always looks at the center.

Thank you.

I figured it out myself. I need to hold my fingertip at the desired position for more than one second. Then the rectangle will jump to that position.

My next task is to find out how to move that rectangle for the auto white balance ...

I don't know if that's possible. You might have to move the camera to get that box over the white field in the shot.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
