Video: Canon R5 8K RAW glitch in last frame of rendered clip

PostWed Dec 25, 2024 2:29 am

Sometimes (not always) the last frame of a clip shows what looks like a lens correction error. Only shows on render. It is not visible when editing in the timeline. Makes the transition between clips slightly jarring.

Short video made from rendered clips:
Shown in realtime at first, then the error frames are duplicated to make it more visible.

This happens when rendering a complete video and when clips are rendered individually.

Windows 11, Davinci Resolve Studio. Have you seen this before?

Looks like an Optical Flow issue.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

For me it's a bit different but feels like the same issue.

I have a bunch of RAW clips. When I put them on a timeline and play the whole thing I can't see any issues. When I render the thing last frames of SOME clips looks like they are zoomed-out. By zoomed-out I mean that it looks like last frames have Zoom 0.95. Which clips will be affected in the render depends on the cut and on some render settings but it doesn't depend on how much time I render (I can render 10 times in a row and the same clips ill be affected, if I change the cut then affected clips might change).
