ATEM file download via Windows 11?

Our Macintoshes connect to ATEMs (Extreme ISO SDI and TV 4K8) with no issues using the 'guest' id, and we can download files store on internal as well as external SSDs as applicable to ATEM model.

But Windows 11, no joy at all. Windows 11 just keeps asking for the id and password over and over. Now if I connect to the ATEMs via FTP, I can access the files on each as expected it just with SMB protocol the issue seems to exist.

Our old ATEM Extreme ISO HD8, no issues, with Windows 10, but Windows 11 issue as well. Has anyone been able to connect to their ATEMs via SMB (i.e. Windows native network connection protocol for file transfers)?

Clearly since MacOS connects and FTP connects via Windows there is not network connectivity issues, only a network protocol issue.

Run the following commands via PowerShell on the Windows 11 system, as administrator (level):

PS> Set-SmbClientConfiguration -RequireSecuritySignature $false

PS> Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters" RequireSecureNegotiate -Value 0 -Force

This is a security issue in that this reduces the SMB checking that is now enabled by default in Windows 11 as of 2H2024 (if memory serves).

[b][i]This means, BlackMagic needs to enable the SMB protocol support in the ATEMs to support v3.0 of SMB and the enhanced SMB security features now enabled by default my Microsoft as noted above. BMD please do this as soon as possible.[/i][/b]

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why I couldn’t log in to the storage from my network.

This fix allowed me to access the storage via my network in Windows 11. It should be posted all over the internet!
