This is seriously some of the worst support for firmware updates i've seen.
I had a BMPCC4K and it was never this crappy. Now the BMCC6K FF is stuck on a beta version for 1/2 a year and its going to get to a year soon.
They really need to get their game together or the BMCC6K FF will be my last. I'm not happy with these bugs still being in what is supposed to be a premiere product.

True, and although I'm generally not on the ranting side, this kind of leaves me with the impression of having made the wrong decision with my bmcc6kff.

I believe you can down rev to the last actually released version. Not saying this situation is ok but at least there’s a workaround.

That's true, thank you for the hint.
No, I meant by choosing the bmcc6kff instead of the pyxis or something completely different.

Like others, I getting a little annoyed at the lack of updates and for the 6K FF, especially as the last beta update breaks my CF card reader. I contacted BM support and they were no help at all, just said they will log it for the future.

Starting to feel a little let down and ignored by BM which is a shame, making me question whether I made the right choice getting the 6K FF.

The most serious thing is that, even if it were true that the new v9 firmware includes beta firmware for the BMPCC4K and 6K, these would still have the same bugs already reported: such as incompatibility with DJI Ronin, with some external SSDs, etc...
I find this very serious. I have always praised Blackmagic for firmware updates, and I believe that if my BMPCC4K is now obsolete, then they should let it die with the current firmware 8.1 that I have and with which I have no problems, rather than have me install a beta that worsens the previous firmware. In our work the first thing is reliability, if that is missing we can throw away our cams.

I cannot install camera 9.1 or 9.2 on Windows 10. It errors out with "Failed to verify hash of payload".
Anybody else seeing this?

update
I have identified the problem. When extracting the files from the downloaded .zip archive, the "Content" folder was not extracted because it is a hidden folder. Thus the install fails because it cannot find the contents of this folder.

SO happy that you were able to release these lovely new fixes for the newer cameras. However, WTF is going on with the FF cinema 6k camera? The last update was 8 months ago and it is still a beta. I'm gambling and running 8.7 because the long overdue ability to organize and delete clips is just too valuable, but you have had 6 camera updates since the 8.7 BETA was released. Almost every beta I've been a part of is in the 3-5 weeks range. This camera was released September 2023. Is BM not supporting it anymore? Can we please get an update other than "I will relay that to our future feature requests team?" please?

And since we are waiting... and its the same internals...Can we please get anamorphic squeeze control like the Pyxis so we can use the full frame with a 2x squeeze lens? Please.

I really like Blackmagic and I fundamentally don't believe you're entitled to any updates, but the way they drop support after a few months for some products (even flagships like the Ursa 12k and Ursa 4.6k g1) and keep supporting other products for literal years and years ... it just baffles me.
