Today I tried to remote by BT my pocket6k G1 and I found that with less than 10 meters I cannot connect my cameras, also if there isn’t obstacle. I used Bluetooth plus app. Anyone can give me more info/experience? I thought that with absence of obstacles I could reach enough 20 meters, to start stop and manage cameras from app in a theather without move to start or change some parameters like iris. But I should move too much near to cameras to have help of it. Anyone can tell me their experience? I remote it from a iPhone 14 Pro.
I use the iPhone 14 Pro as well to successfully monitor or control my MixPre-6 II or BMPCC4K. My cameras are more than 30’ apart so I need to take a few steps away from the BM4.6K for Bluetooth to be able to reach the BMPCC4K. It’s pretty unforgiving. AFAIK when Bluetooth was introduced the published limit of the older form of Bluetooth was 30’ which is less than 10m. The MixPre is somewhat hidden in a corner so that wall may be part of the problem as I don’t have line-of-sight on it, but I do make a connection without seeing the MixPre.
