How to Screw into a Cage

PostMon Feb 24, 2025 4:33 pm

If I want to add something to my cage (enclosing a 4K) I usually have the screw in something like a rod holder. But when it is screwed in tightly, as it needs to be, the configuration is never right. It's always too far one way or the other and never quite where I want it.
You are all far more experienced than I am so how have you solved this?

thanks

Paul, what cage are you using? A closeup picture with your rod holder might be good to see.

It’s a smallrig cage. Nothing special about the rod holder - just a standard thread which goes into the cage and a circular clamp for the rod

Is there a space on the rod holder to use two screws for it?

Can you post a picture of that holder showing the base for the screw or a link to that rod holder, I think that´s the only way to speed up possible and more accurate solutions for you
