ATEM network credentials - locked out of new features

PostMon Aug 12, 2024 9:08 pm

I have an ATEM Mini Extreme ISO, and have been excited to test the live edit features in Resolve, using the network connection to a recording drive.

Unfortunately, I'm locked out by windows security network credentials. (why is Microsoft so macrohard with security)

I got the ATEM second hand, and updated it myself from a ~6.0 to the most recent 9.5.1.

I've tried many combinations and several incantations, to no avail.
I've been digging around in every setting on my computer and router as well, no luck so far.

All other functions of the update seem to work fine, but working out that live edit through Davinci could REALLY upgrade my productions.

* The ATEM connects to a MAC without asking for a password

I have found that I can get access to the ATEM Mini Pro ISO attached sd drive by clicking the "Show in File Explorer" button in the ATEM Setup Utility. However, when trying to browse to it using the file explorer Windows App, I get challenged for credentials.

This is okay as long as there is a default login for the atem and an ability to change it to secured password.

Just tried on Windows 11 Pro.

User is guest
Password is guest

This then allows you to drag and drop across File Explorer

I had a similar problem, When testing network recording using a HyperDeck,

Perhaps, you could try using Credential Manager.
Control Panel\User Accounts\Credential Manager. :geek:

Try Add a Windows Credential, using the ATEM's IP address:

User: guest
Password: guest

I hope help
