Keyframe editor - wish list

PostSun Apr 06, 2025 8:27 am

Keyframe editor is great ! It could be even better with :

- lock fonction icon in the curve page. Apply on the selected curve.
- ability to zoom vertically in the curve page (REALLY NEEDED)
- Detail Zoom button retaining the zoom value after coming back from the Full Extend Zoom. Right now clicking the Detail Zoom always "mid zoom". I would much prefer that it retain the last manual zoom i made.
- a toogle button to show only parameters with keyframes (i know the feature is in a dropdown menu but i would toogle this feature ALL THE TIME, this would be way easier with a toogle button)
- right click on a keyframe in the keyframe tray and in the keyframe editor to have a drop down menu with ease options (as in the inspector)
- now that we have a great keyframes editor, we need the audio effects to be keyframables.

I would add here:
1) add possibility to have an "auto scale" or a separate scale for each parameter. For example, i am manually transform from horizontal to vertical and i am using the zoom and position X parameters usually. And is helpful to see both curves on the screen. But because the "position X" moves a few hundreds of pixels, the scale will be with that values. But the "zoom in" is only bellow 1 usually, so will not be able to see it.

Keyframes with both "Position X" and "Zoom X/Y" activated -> cannot distinguish zoom curves

Only "Zoom X/Y" curve. I would need to see at this scale, together with "Position X"

2) Second point: I know everybody hated the old curves in edit page, but i actually get used to them and worked very well. But now i see also the functionality is quite different. At version 19, i was selecting all the "zoom" keyframes and use "Ease In and Out" option and were working quite well. Resolve knew automatically to detect where should put "Ease In" or "Ease Out" and keep the zoom to "1" when i don't want a zoom out. Now i got what you can see in the image bellow. I know i can go manually to adjust them, but this is adding a lot of extra time

PurePoisonTM mentioned this, but I want to reiterate because it's absolutely vital to fix this. In the new Keyframes editor on the Edit page, when the Zoom XY parameter is activated with any other paramater like Position or Rotation in the curves window, it is not correctly represented and appears as a flat line, making it useless. It's important to be able to view zoom curves in combination with other curves like position for fine tuning. The zoom XY values of 1.0 to 2.0 is zooming the image 200%, but the Position XY values of 1.0 to 2.0 moves the image just 1 pixel. So, the Zoom curves do not show any augmentation when Position curves are activated. I assume this fix is just a simple programming fix so hopefully you guys can squeeze it into the next beta version!
