Hmm. Ok, Fusion would normally work with the source footage from the media pool.
When you open a clip in fusion it will ignore sizing options that were set in project / clip attributes it should be ignored and clip at its source resolution should be used from the media pool. Two exceptions to this are lens correction setting in edit page, and super scale, which fusion will honor. Transform options and mismatch resolution option (input sizing) will be ignored. It should not affect the tracking.

What else is happening in your project or with the clip or workflow? You don't provide much useful information to diagnose further.

I forgot to mention that the clip in clip attribute also has a 2:1 anamorphic squeeze.

if I reset the squeeze (squared pixel) and take the input scaling preset, fusion works as expected.

If you wanted to work with anamorphic footage either squeezed or desqueezed and apply tracking in one of those two states. They should work but off course sequeezed footage is not fun to work with.

You could use tools in fusion such as resize or letterbox tools, which can change aspect ratio of pixels. So you can apply tracking to whatever you need, squeeze or desqueeze. Transform node is less destructive since it supports concatenation and can change aspect ratio as well. Not sure what you particular workflow is for anamorphic, but I've done compositing in anamorphic in fusion and I've treated it similar how I would treat color management. I would use apply desquezeting. Apply my affects and if needed get it back to how it was by the end of it. If you want to, you could do that.

If you already done desquezering in resolve and you want to work with that in fusion, you can put the files in fusion clip first as well, to get the same as you have in your timeline. So you have options, depending on how you want to work.

I'm aware of all of that, what I'm seeing is that fusion really does not like if a different pixel ratio and an input scaling is applied, it's just crap out

For me it works on differnt pixel ratio as well. I would assume either there is something hard to track or something else happening that you haven't mentioned.

Yes. I had noticed that as well. It's as if the clip attributes things are not taken into account in this case.
Not to lose time, that's the kind of hiccups I get around with the good old Render in Place trick which kind of embeds the squeeze, but I admit a workaround is just ...a workaround, not a new WF
