Windows 10
Davinci Resolve Studio 19
New User
As a new user I created a new project , cut, edited, and pasted vidoe text and graphics and was happy with the program, however as a tidy up exercise after I exited Resolve I moved a number of "project" files to "better" location.
When I next opened Resolve to make a few changes to the project I got a message about the Media files being unavailable. I expected this (as I had moved the files) I looked for a method to relink the files but all I achieved in do so was to kill the program and put it in a "not responding mode".
To get out of this I used task manager to close the program. I then restarted Resolve but it only got as far as loading the splash screen, it stops at "Loading Project Settings".
What have I done to try and move forward:
1. Used Task Manager to "kill" Resolve and tried again to load the program.
2. Restarted the PC
3. Uninstalled Resolve and reinstalled, currently only once
4. Did a cold restart of the PC (disconnected the ac power)
5. Read this forum and found lots of people who've had this or a similar problem
6. Renamed the Appdata Preferences folder, at my next attempt it was recreated but Resolve didn't get beyond the splash screen
7. Uninstalled the "Control Panels"
I'm at a bit of a loss at this point if anybody has any clues I'd be happy to try anything.
