Transfer camera gyro stabilisation from braw to prores clip

PostThu Apr 17, 2025 1:42 pm

Hi, I'm editing my short film in Resolve.

I have applied gyro stabilisation to most clips (they're .braw and gyro stabilisation works fantastically).

I need to export the original full-frame clips without transforms and without stabilisation as QT and send them to a colorist.

Once I receive the new graded rec709 clips back, I'll re-conform into Resolve.

Is there a way to transfer the original .braw gyro stabilisation to the new QT prores clips?

If you're wondering, the colorist has a specific time-frame they're available for, and there is more finessing to be done on my end to the edit afterwards.

Thanks!

I think Assimilate Play support this.
Resolve is rather poor with preserving advanced metadata.

There is also this:

not sure if it can do what you asked for, but looks interesting.

Do your colorist not use Resolve?
Why ProRes instead braw? It’s a downgrade of quality to do color correction

Why do you have to export it "without stabilization" ?

Just do the stabilization and then export log files...
