email Davinci Resolve files

PostTue Apr 22, 2025 2:15 pm

I am an editor for a Non-profit organization and before I post videos to social media my leadership needs to see them. When I email the videos, they cannot open them. How do I email projects to them when they do not have Davinci Resolve? Thank you for your help in advance.......Brian

Unless they have the source footage and Davinci, the project files are useless to them.

The way I do it, is by either sending the file via a file sharing service or a link as an unlisted file on youtube. It depends on how technical they are, for non-technical it's youtube. (any of the video hosting platforms can be used)

Projects are linked to media and database, so just for a review they're useless for your bosses unless they also have a DVR machine running and know how it works ;)

Like people said you can use YT and upload the videos there. You can set the videos to 'private' for the intermediates.

What I do is send out links to a Dropbox folder, where they can watch the videos. There's even the option to add comments on that same page, so no need for endless emails back and forth.

I upload the export to Dropbox and send the person the link.

For review, I like to share a Youtube link .. but how about Remote Monitoring? Isn't that an option?
