Opening a project causes BSOD(Blue Screen) with Resolve 20

PostWed Apr 23, 2025 2:31 pm

I recently installed the Resolve studio 20 beta and upgraded my existing project library too .... All of my older projects made with v19 loads without no issues in v20 beta, but one particular project alone causes BSOD immediately whenever i open it... For transparency, this project was an already finished one and delivered to that particular client months back before i upgraded to V20 and I am just opening the project now to create a short reel sans the client logo for making myself a portfolio reel of all my finished editing work for my website.

This particular Short project has some heavy effects applied like Magic Mask in the colour page and a couple of other plugins/effects including the Music Remixer effect to mute the vocals.

I have tried all the possible diagnostic issues to rectify the Blue screen issue like DDU and reinstall my drivers, clean installed windows 11, did stress tests to my CPU(Ryzen 7 3700x) and GPU(RTX 3060 12gb) to rule out any issues. Also did a Memtest with my 32gb ram to rule out that too... Everything comes out fine. All my other software and programs also runs perfectly fine and even Da Vinci Resolve 20 also runs properly except this one particular project...Can someone help me on this particular issue ?

You should post the Crash Logs and other required info (explained in the FAQ)...

...to the Version 20 Beta forums.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
