How to Match Colors Between Two Clips in Resolve 20?

PostMon May 05, 2025 3:43 am

Hi everyone,

In earlier versions of DaVinci Resolve, I used to right-click on a clip and there was an option to match colors between two or more clips — it was super useful when working on multi-camera projects or trying to maintain color consistency.

Now, using DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 (Beta), I can’t seem to find that option anymore. Right-clicking on the clip doesn’t show the familiar entry for color matching. Has this feature been moved somewhere else, or is it temporarily missing in the beta?

Does anyone know where I can now find the color match between clips feature in version 20?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards

Do You mean "Shot Match to This Clip"?

It's still here, at least on Mac, DR20 beta 3.

Are you maybe right-clicking by mistake on only one selected clip? If so, then the option will not show. Select more then one clip then try again, or if only one clip is selected then right-click on any other clip.

It will also not show if you are on timeline node editor, switch to clip node editor.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant, and I can swear that this menu item wasn't there yesterday

Thanks, Daniel! I was struggling with the same issue in Resolve 20 Beta. Switching to the clip node editor and selecting multiple clips made "Shot Match" appear. Worked perfectly for my multi-cam edit!

The menu item only appears when you have made the correct selection of source and destination clips on the Color Page.
