BR Relink Missing From Clip Contextual Menu

PostWed May 07, 2025 7:53 pm

R 20B3
OS 15.5 RC
M1 128 ultra

right click on clip in bin, Relink is missing from contextual menu :(

Replace Clip is also missing from menu :(

I see some improvements in auto relink, but I have about 10 clips off line I need to connect w/o waiting for the extensive all disk search. I just want to relink the couple of clips selected.

Are these features in update / maintenance mode and temporarily missing ? we do need them back. In one case some how clip1234 was missing, but clip1234-1 ( copy of clip ) was on the disk but there was no way in R to replace it. I took the chance of renaming the w/o the -1 on the end and R then did auto-relink which is cool, but sometimes you need manual controls to force things back.

UPDATE 1: even if I do find folder of missing items, R still doesn't relink despite items being in the folder. alternately if I drag missing items back into bin, R doesn't see them as match to missing items. I suspect there is something messed up in the path name that R isn't reconnecting, despite nothing actually having changed like and invisible char or something.

Update 2: You Moved Them to new contextual Menu Clip Operations. :/ Maybe add this to release notes !!!!!

Good question and thanks for adding where these are now to be found, making one wonder what the gain was in forcing users to now mine for an everyday command that was likely one of the most used ones in the program for like that past 10 years or so. Blackmagic isn't anywhere near Apple in this regard -- which seems happy to just eliminate productivity functions like Open on Current Desktop -- but one worries the infection is spreading.
