Hello,
I have a Blackmagic Design UltraStudio SDI, which is working fine on my Windows 11 computer, using the USB-3.0 connector.
However, I struggle to understand why SDI OUT and HDMI OUT only work if I open Media Express and go to the Log and Capture.
It would make sense to me that both SDI OUT and HDMI OUT would ALWAYS show the signal connected to SDI IN. This makes my workflow unusable, since I want to use SDI SOURCE -> UltraStudio IN -> UltraStudio SDI OUT -> VectorScope and UltraStudio HDMI OUT -> External HDMI Monitor.
I could connect it the other way around and always have the VectorScope (Harris CMN-91) running, but the connection is actually more complex: SDI SOURCE -> UltraStudio -> VectorScope1 (Harris CMN-91) -> VectorScope2 (Hamlet Video Monitor 9000) -> DekTec DTA-2154 (on PC).
In case you are wondering WHY?, the reason is I am developing a Video Analysis software and I am comparing my results with the VectorScopes. More info here: https://vma-broadcast.com/
Is there any fix or patch to have SDI OUT and HDMI OUT always active?
