frameio (and similar) use cache for render and upload

PostTue Dec 22, 2020 7:16 pm

I have a piece that has all cache rendered, if i export locally it take about 5 minutes, if i goto frame.io directly it took 45 minutes plus upload time because I cannot render form cache...

it should be implemented...

+1 ... tho if it were possible instead to just add 'Upload Settings' as a section in the generic 'Custom' delivery preset, then that might be a more flexible solution that could cover everyone's needs.
Decouple internet uploading from specific presets
Let's have a return to the glory days, when press releases for new versions included text like "...with over 300 new features and improvements that professional editors and colorists have asked for."

Yes please. My export preset utilizes Render Cached Images. But when I use the upload to Youtube option (for the chapter markers) it isn't an option.

Well thats disappointing. +1

I saw the release note for 18b1 said "• Support for video uploads to internet accounts using custom presets." and assumed they'd fixed this. Apparently still not.

Still not !
More options and custom preset on frame.io and similar is a really big deal.

It's been 4 1/2 years since Walter's original post, and frustratingly this is still an issue in 19.1.4
