Hello all, I've a technical question regarding rendering a TIFF sequence. My intent is to export some clips from my timeline, each rendered job having a Start TC in relation to their position on the timeline. My TL starts at TC 0.
If I export, say, an MP4 this works as intended (e.g. the clip has a Start TC of 00:03:15:11). But no matter what I do, all my TIFF sequences always start at 0. Which is useless to me. There is no wiggle room for this, I can't rely on further workarounds like editing the clip attributes a posteriori. I need the files' metadata to be rendered correctly from the get-go.
What am I missing? Tried toggling forcing timeline timecode at 0 on and off, but further than that I don't see many other options that could be influencing this. Very weird that it only happens on image sequences, too.
Thanks in advance for any insight
Edit: further research has revealed TIFF sequences, in fact, cannot carry timecode metadata. So what I’ve been trying to do is impossible, pretty much. EXR does carry this info, so my options are to either live with this fact or switch codecs in my workflow. Oh well.
