DR 18.6 Freezes

I start up DR and it works for a couple of minutes before the Timeline Editor in the Cut page fails to display preview of the clips and just presents a blue bar. The timecode window also fails to update. The RAM & CPU for this process increases to high levels. Please advise. Thanks.

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor

Radeon Pro Duo

I removed the 2nd video card (NVIDIA GT-710 GPU). The Radeon Pro DUO iGPU works better. All seems well. I will try to upgrade to DR20 later. I received this advice in another post,
