Kazakh and other languages to DaVinci Resolve 20

PostFri May 16, 2025 11:35 am

Dear Blackmagic Design Team,

Thank you for recently adding Kazakh and other languages to DaVinci Resolve — this is a huge step forward for many communities!

I’m Bai Khairullin from Kazan, Tatarstan. Here, over 4 million people live, with millions speaking Tatar both locally and worldwide. In recent years, many films are being produced in the Tatar language, and there’s a real need for automatic subtitle recognition to support these projects.

Please consider adding Tatar language support for subtitles. My colleagues and I actively promote and teach DaVinci Resolve at local universities, and we’re ready to provide audio/text materials or expert help to make this happen.

Adding Tatar support would open new opportunities for filmmakers in our region. Even if it’s not on your roadmap yet, a response would be appreciated.

Thanks for your great work!

There is a separate forum for Feature Requests.

viewforum.php?f=33

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
