Multicam Color Grading Myth ;)

PostSun May 25, 2025 11:18 am

Hi everyone,

quick question: Whenever I colorgraded a Multicam Clip after scene detection, I could grade every clip slice seperately. In other words a node grade of one clip slice did not affect the other slices.
Since DR Beta 4 when a clip section is graded on the Color page, all clip sections are changed. Why is this?
I never had this in past versions. Is there a setting I have overseen?

Thanks for a quick answer. :D

I have to add that the grading happens on a shared node.

Found the answer in the manual.

"Changes made to a Shared node are automatically rippled to all other instances of that node in the grades of other clips."

Sorry for asking before reading.

Hey

Don't want to make fun of your post, however please know that this is even the main and only purpose o f a shared node :)
It was a bit like "hey, why does my car drift to the left hand side ?"
I have to add that I turn this round object called steering wheel ;)
PS : but more seriously no problem with asking, even before reading, the forum is also made for this
