I bought a used BMPCC 4k and the original owner said he never activated Resolve. When looking into it from my understanding the resolve license follows the hardware. That said I cannot seem to figure out how to get the activation key. Any ideas?
Hey, I tried that but he threw all that out after purchasing 4 of them. He was not into video he just had started a podcast but didn't end up continuing. When I asked him he didn't even know what Resolve was. I did get an email back from Gian from support asking for a picture of my serial number on the inside of the camera which I have provided.
I love your guy's products and I am building up fairly quickly. I also have an atem mini pro. I am looking at getting a larger space (currently use in home office/studio) but need larger space as I am working on some virtual production stuff and will be needing a multi cam set up. Trying to decide between the studio camera line or more pocket cinema cameras. However that is still 6 month to a year out. As I am building I use Resolve for grading and could really benefit from being able to send a video clean feed to a separate monitor with Resolve Studio and from the reading I have done I believe I should be able to gain access as the activation key for BMPCC 4k that I have as it was never activated. I also paid almost full price for the camera about $100 less than full price.
Let me know if there is anything I could do. I would deeply appreciate the ability to use Resolve Studio.
